last week

April 23rd, 2007 by emily

It’s officially our last week in Spartanburg (at least, as the inaugural artists-in-residence, that is). The past three evenings have been filled with good music, good friends, and sadly, more than a few goodbyes.

This isn’t my final post, but do I want to say THANK YOU to all of our Sparkle City friends who have shared the past eleven months with us. I don’t know where to begin expressing how very much this experience has meant, the ways in which it has positively impacted me as an individual and as an artist.

I popped into Leah’s apartment today and nearly wept when I saw the piles of boxes. Please stop by the Showroom this week (poetry - Monday night, music - Thursday, and the Leah Brown/Wofford College dynamic duo is back F-SA with 365 Days/365 Plays). We’d love to see you before we all go our separate ways.

(Liz, Leah, and I are starting a band called Seth Kauffman, after our favorite Showroom musicians).
